Industrial Folidng/Bi-folding Doors

Doors shall be constructed of steel tubing as a basic framework with intermediate steel tube members on a maximum of 48" centers. Corner joints shall be mitered, reinforced, welded, and all surface welds ground smooth.

Cold roll steel skins, 18 gauge, shall be riveted to the tubular steel frame. All exposed welds shall be ground smooth and voids filled. Exposed door surfaces shall be receiving a coat of rust-inhibitive prime paint. The doors shall have a neat and flush appearance.

Multiple panel doors shall be spliced horizontally or vertically with continuous steel plates. 

Double steel astragals for bi-parting doors shall be self tapping screws on maximum 12“centers. Steel astragals shall be omitted whenever not required.
