Features:

- Manufactured from cold rolled steel sheets to ASTM A366 or from galvanized steel to ASTM A526 G90.
- Available in nominal 1.0mm (20ga.), 1.2mm (18ga.) and 1.5mm (16ga.).
- Core:
- SKD-10 Series: Foamed-in-place polyurethane core exceeding 35 Kg./Cu.Mt. (2.18 pcf) compressed density, entirely filling the inside of the door.
- SKD-20 Series: Pre-foamed polystyrene slab of 18 Kg./Cu.Mt. (1.12 pcf) density, filling the inside of the door and secured to face skins with adhesive.
- SKD-30 Series: Constructed using 0.8mm (22gauge) thick vertical steel stiffeners welded to each face of the door at 100mm centers and spaced 190mm centers. Voids are filled with fibreglass insulation.
- SKD-40 Series: Constructed using 0.8mm (22gauge) thick vertical steel stiffeners welded to each face of the door at 100mm centers and spaced 190mm centers. Voids are filled with rock wool insulation.
- Vertical edges are interlocked, hairline seamed.
- 1.5mm (16 ga.) deep end channels at top and bottom of door for lasting integrity.
- Hardware reinforcing in accordance to ANSI, SDI, NFPA standards requirements.
- Tested according to NFPA 252 and UL10(b) and labelled up to 3 hours (click labelled).
- Level “A” grade in accordance with ANSI A 250.4 test procedures.
- Available with a wide range of glass light and louver preparations (click door & frame design).
- Non-fire rated: Available in sizes up to 5’0 x 10’0 single and 10’0 x 10’0 double. “Larger sizes with panelized construction are also available”.
- Fire rated, Labeled: Available in sizes up to 4’0 x 10’0 single and 8’0 x 10’0 double. “Larger sizes are also available with oversize certification”.
- Epoxy primed in grey colour.
Frames
Al Kuhaimi can fill virtually any opening with a unique frame configuration for a truly customized appearance. Frames are available either welded (factory assembled), or knocked down (site assembled). Frames also can be engineering designed according to buildings architectural requirements to form sidelights, transoms, and window frames.

Al Kuhaimi SKD (FR) Series Fire Rated Steel Doors have been tested for fire resistance in accordance to Underwriters Laboratories (UL) as well as Warnock Hersey Inc. (WSI), to meet fire test criteria as defined in ASTM E-152, UL10(b) & UL 10(C), NFPA-252, CAN 4-S104 (ULC S104), or UBC 7-2(1994) & UBC 7-2(1997). We have obtained certification for manufacturing fire-rated doors of 3 hours, 1½ hour and ¾ hour that comply with above mentioned test standards to negative and positive pressure requirements.
Moreover, Al Kuhaimi SKD (FR) Series Fire Rated Steel Doors have been tested at Chiltern International Fire Inc. for fire resistance according to the British Standards (BS) to meet fire test criteria as defined in BS EN 1634-1and BS 476: Part 22.We have obtained certification for manufacturing fire-rated doors up to 4 hours.
