Access Control Systems

Access control systems are designed to permit the free flow of authorised movement into any site, whilst denying entry to unwanted visitors.

Al Kuhaimi’s AES offers a comprehensive array of access control system solutions starting from single-door access control for small applications to fully-integrated security management systems operating on an enterprise-wide network with a wide range of associated products. Whatever your project needs, there is a proper solution at Al Kuhaimi AES.

  Door Locks and Locking Systems:

-         Push Button (Pin-Based) Locks:

v      Mechanical push button locks offer a convenient way to control access between public and private areas. There are no keys or cards to manage, no computers to program, no batteries to replace, and combinations can be changed in seconds without removing the lock from the door.

v      Electric push button locks quickly replace any traditional key operated door lock, providing code access and eliminating the need for keys, cards, and computers.

-         Card Based Locks:

Card Based electronic locks provide magnetic card-based security for restricted access points. Scheduling features let you restrict access during specific time periods, holidays or vacations.

Simple and secure, card-based locks are a perfect solution for stand-alone applications or supplemental security in a facility-wide system.

-         Electrified Locking Devices:

Readers:

-         Smart Card Readers:

Smart cards and readers make access control more powerful, more versatile, and offers enhanced security. They are user-friendly, delivering the convenience, affordability and reliability of proximity technology.

With a single-card solution, you can read data from the card and write data to the card securely and quickly for many applications.

-         Proximity Card Readers:

No direct contact is required between the card and the reader for the system to operate, the card must only be in the proximity of the reader. We offer a wide range of proximity readers up to 60 cm operating range.

-         Magnetic Stripe Readers:

Magnetic stripe cards use the same technology that is employed in credit cards which requires the card to come in direct contact with the reader. We offer a wide range of magnetic stripe readers fully equipped with both Clock-and-Data and Wiegand outputs depending on the mounting and operational requirements.

-         Biometric Readers:

Biometric systems measure some physical property of the user such as hand geometry, fingerprints, or retina pattern. These types of devices offer very high security but require that the user be present in order to be enrolled into the system.

v      The Hand Reader analyzes the measurements of an individual's hand-including length, width, thickness and surface area-to verify that the person using the device is really who he or she claims to be. Then it compares this information with a "template" of the individual's hand that has previously been stored in the reader, on a server or on a card. Once the person has been identified as a valid user, a door can be opened, access can be provided, or time recorded.

v      The Finger Scanner analyzes fingerprints and captures an image by a patented algorithm which then extracts unique points from the image and converts the data into a unique mathematical template. The finger scanner compares this information with a "template" of the individual's print that has previously been stored. Once the person has been verified as a valid user, a door can be opened or access can be granted.

v      The IRIS Scanner identifies people by the pattern of the IRIS – the coloured ring surrounding the pupil – by using standard video imaging. The IRIS Scanner compares the image with the “IRIS Code template” of the individual that has been stored. Once the person has been identified as a valid user, a door can be opened or access can be granted. The IRIS Scanner is the most powerful identification tool in terms of security.

Time & Attendance Solutions:

-         Basic Time Clocks:

Basic Time Clocks are a simple, effective and flexible way to control time and attendance starting from basic timekeeping to access control, shop floor labor collection and timed bell ringing. Data can be read in many different manners including magnetic card readers, proximity readers. Information can be transmitted directly for report generation or payroll preparation.

-         Biometric Hand Punches:

Biometrics are playing a much larger role in timekeeping and access control, as it becomes more important to positively identify worker access to a facility or PC.

Hand Punch clocks positively identify each employee by the unique size and shape of his or her hand, increasing the security and accuracy of the company's time data and eliminating "buddy punching". Multiple terminals can be networked together.

-         Time & Attendance Software:

Al Kuhaimi AES provides complete time and attendance solution designed for a wide variety of workforce management needs. Our systems offer reliable, innovative features that easily integrate with popular human resource, financial management and payroll software.

ID Management Systems:

Identity Management (ID Management) deals with identifying individuals in a system and controlling their access to resources within that system by associating user rights and restrictions with the established identity. In an enterprise setting, Identity Management is used to increase security and productivity, while decreasing cost and redundant effort.

Al Kuhaimi AES offers a wide range of ID Management Systems; either standalone or integrated with other security applications to provide total security management solutions. Our systems produce the highest resolution pictures, support all industry standard ID card technologies, and have cutting-edge image compression and enhancement capabilities.

Advanced biometrics and smart card technologies, along with an expandable and open system design, provide customers with a state of the art credential management system designed to grow as customer needs change.
